Erm... I am back. After almost a year. Even though I quit my job last summer and thought I'd have more time for projects, I didn't end up getting anything done. THIS SUMMER THOUGH??? I fully intend on finishing my WIPs. I'll be studying abroad for part of it but I'm still hoping to be able to crank out a whole kit and tie up some smaller customs I started a while ago. I'm also hoping to focus on art a LOT more, and already have made a change for the better recently and started designing some characters after a very long time of not drawing! Part of this change was getting over my Instagram addiction #tbh (ScreenZen ur the GOAT) I went from 2+ hours on there a day to 20-30 minutes most days, and I'm much happier for it.
Sooo.... lemme see. What's been up in the past year or so...? For projects and stuff I started on the clay base I made a page for a while back, all that's left is painting and taking pics. I also made another wooden base, its pretty much complete expect for a top coat and felt on the bottom. I havent really done anything with my Rei Acerby custom, but I got some 30 Minutes Missions mecha angel wings for her. As far as model kit acuisitions go, I've finally gotten my hands on the Choipla Smart Daughter kit. Her design is quite cute, but damn was she a pain in in the ass to assemble. Shes also literally one color + 2 clear pieces, which is really disappointing. I havent decided what I'd like to do with her yet custom-wise but I'd like to fancy her up a little at some point. I also think it'd be cool to get the full scale kit from Arata's shop, but thats a long way away bc it's pretty pricy, I'd have to proxy it, and I'm pretty sure it's sold out! Speaking of artists shops, I also got Runrun Klockworx's Automoiselle Basic kit! (Pic below) God shes so CUTE. This was my first time assempling a kit using screws, and my first time using a proxy for somethign other Yahoo Auctions or Mercari JP. The process went so smoothly and shipping was pretty cheap!
Now then.. for the future of this site I'm just hoping to get all the the WIP pages filled out, even if it means half-assing some of the articles. I wanna continue posting tutorial type stuff on MFC, so the pages for my clay and wooden base projects will be properly fleshed out, but most others will be more of a photo showcase than an article. My coding skills have gotten rusty in my time away but I still know enough to maintain the site at the level it's at now. In the future though, I think it'd be cool to create photo and art potfolio pages. I have some ideas but have no idea how to implement them yet so I won't go into detail on them here. Until then, my figure photos are still going on Instagram and MFC, and my art gets dumped on Pixiv. I don't really like Pixiv but It's nice to have an art focused platform I don't have to worry about like Instagram.
I'm about 1.5 weeks away from being done with this semester, then I can finally throw myself into my projects like I've been wanting! I'm really happy to be back updating this site, hopefully I'll be able to update it lots like I've been planning.
